We drove the Wolseley to Bowers Beach, Delaware- less than 15 miles from our house. Ruth & Don were here for the Irish music session at Smithers in Dover. It was an excellent evening!!

No VIP rider in the Parade, by the way!

Yeah, maybe Mr Buckworth figured it would be clown-like to ride in my cute little car...

Or maybe he heard that was a foam-at-the-mouth-liberal!!!

Ah, well, it went just fine.

I am on my little town's Peach Festival committee, for the first time, this year. I am going to drive our car in the parade. Wyoming Peach Festival, August 6th, 2005, unfortunately, at this writing, the website is lacking a lot, or should I say ALL information!

Well, the parade is at 9:00am EST from the middle school to the town hall, basically. We are a tiny town, so, it will seem like a big parade. I have the honor of transporting a VIP in my little car!

There will be free peach ice cream at Fifer Orchard, our neighbor. Their booth at the Peach Fest will be right next to Friends of Folk, we'll both be easy to find!

Here's the Wolseley going back home from the farm. Don helped us out with it, there was some problem with the distributor. George helped him find the trouble and it was a simple fix.

We are very glad it is running, again!

The week in review

The car drove great this week.

I am getting the hang of the choke settings, not perfect yet, but better.

I drove it to the flower shop, about 2 miles one way, each day and drove to the new Kent County building, to & from the flower shop to deliver flowers to the Planning Department secretary, yesterday, for Sarah!!



It's funny how driving this old car is so different than driving our PT which is manual. The gear ratios & the speeds at which you at when you change the gears is radically different.

When I am behind the wheel, nothing but MOTORIN'!!! No radio, no iPod, must concentrate!!

I have considered keeping my derby in the little car to wear!! Am I crazy?? YES!!
